Our very own John Hodgson competed in the IFBB British Grand Prix (a qualifying show for the Mr Olympia in Las Vegas) on the 19th & 20th March.  John competed in the 202lb class & placed a very deserving 2nd to James 'Flex' Lewis in a fiercely contested class, which saw many past & present EFBB & UKBFF British champions, now turned pro, battling it out head to head.  Never again will we see the likes on a British stage & we were all proud to see John display what was for sure the best package of his entire career at the age of 42!

This was to be John's final competitive stage & he went out in style & retired a true champion & a consumate professional.  Always a bodybuilder, John will now continue to train & enjoy bodybuilding but now placing the emphasis squarely on life balance & recently announced his engagement to his girlfriend Sarah Whitney.  All the team at Evolution wish them well & a happy future.

What a year! We are currently updating our website, so visit again for loads of catch up news, hot off the Evo Press... Printing press we mean not chest press!

The seminar proved to be a huge success over 80 people paying a small fee for some of the best advice in the business, the room was full of guys and girls serious about getting results and achieving their goals. Not one person left the room at the end of the evening without a huge aura of motivation and determination to succeed with their training or nutrition routines.

A sample of John & Lee posing together simply blew everyone away. They are due to compete at the biggest Bodybuilding show in the world. This takes place in less than two weeks. The event is a bodybuilding Mecca to all avid BBing fans, the prize of Mr Olympia is like the holly grail to professional bodybuilders, and at Evolution our members get to have advice and guidance of one of only a handful British guys to ever grace the stage of “The Mr Olympia Show”. Yet another unique quality we posses.

Good luck John we’re rooting for ya!

It's been a while since the News was updated as we have been having the site professionally rebuilt by our good friends at 24 Media Group.  The site now has the facility for members to join online so it couldn't be easier to get started.

Since the club opened in July of 2008,we have seen an unprecedented response and the club has far outstripped our expectations.  The quality of service, cleanliness & superb equipment have proven that quality will always truimph over the mass market, "pile em high, sell em cheap" ethos of some major chains.

Many of our members have achieved incredible results in the short time the club has been open. We have many testimonials up so you can see for yourself.

Evolution Physical Excellence is now in the process of securing a new site in Castleton, near Rochdale. The new premises are on Queensway. Check out Find Us for details. We hope to open the club in late January or early February of 2008.

Due to problems with the original Pear Mill location, we made a difficult decision to relocate the club and we are in the process of shortlisting several alternative sites. It is vital to us that the location and premises are entirely suitable for our members and our vision, and because of this, we refuse to compromise by opening the club in a venue that is not 100% right for our members. News of the final choice of site will be posted here very soon.
